This is my favorite Blade movie and the one I’ve seen the most.
As for the cast, it is also includes Danny John-Jules who was in one of my favorite UK sitcoms: Red Dwarf. And yeah, the cast is one of my ups. The dialogue is also an up, believe it or not. It’s super campy but I like the cheesiness of it and thought it was tongue-in-cheek but I get it if people don’t like it so much.
My downs are kinda related. I feel like Ron Pearlman’s character deserved a climatic battle. I didn’t like that he ended up just sending a bunch of mooks at Blade, then gets sliced in half. He was such a good baddie and was a good foil for Blade that I wanted a nice, bloody brawl at the end. The second down was that, while I liked the Reavers, I like the concept of the Bloodpack being a group of vamps trained to hunt Blade, but the concept was cast to the side. I wanted to see a movie where they were hunting Blade for two hours.
