Superman Returns was one of those movies where I loved it in the theaters but I found it dull on DVD.
Something else I realized in this conversation is that Superman is often associated with Art Deco much like Batman is associated with Gothic landscapes. There aren’t too many superheroes associates with architecture.

That’s so interesting because I had the exact opposite reaction. Hated it in theaters and then really liked it on this rewatch.
