Mint and chocolate, man. They deserve each other.
I mean, let’s face it: chocolate goes great with a lot of things. Peanut butter. Caramel. Lemonade (don’t knock it!). But I always think that mint is one of the best flavors you can mix with the delicious dark stuff.
I remember ages ago I was at Bath And Bodyworks, and they had a chocolate mint candle that smelled delightful! But I didn’t buy one because I was at work at the time. I have never ever since found a similarly scented candle! It’s wildly disappointing. But I do look every time I’m somewhere that sells candles.
Also! The best ice cream flavor? Mint chocolate chip. Especially when the chips are ground into the ice cream and aren’t just big, thick chips? Though the latter is good, too. It’s such a great ice cream, man.
Anyway, the point of all of this is that Pop-Tarts is finally in on the mint and chocolate combination!

Pop-Tarts got girl scout cookie flavors! Hey, that’s fine; I was just happy to see new flavors emerge because they had gone such a long time between. But yes! Girl scout cookie flavor, and the first of which I am trying are the thin mints ones. Because I really needed some chocolate and mint flavored Pop-Tarts!
Now! Have you ever been extremely disappointed? When you try something new, and it’s not… bad, per se, but it isn’t what you dreamed of? Disappointment, thy name is Thin Mints Pop-Tarts.
You see, these are BARELY chocolate mint. These are, like, 90% chocolate and 10% mint. The mint is just a hint. It’s barely there for a stint. It wouldn’t even satisfy Jaws’ Quint. If you put it on your windshield, it would barely tint!
I kind of ran away with myself there. The point is that we needed more mint flavor in these ones.
TASTE: B
They’re aggressively fine. They do taste good, but they are just the chocolate fudge Pop-Tarts with the idea of an additional flavor.
COLOR: D-
I know actual thin mints are brown, and so are these. But how neat would it have been for them to throw in some mint green coloring in the frosting or the sludge?
GIRL SCOUT COOKIES: C-
Aren’t they, like, ungodly overpriced? What do the girl scouts even do? Are they as homophobic as the boy scouts? (Okay I just Googled that point, and apparently the girl scouts of America strive for inclusivity and are LGBTQ+ friendly). Now I don’t want to make fun of them. Good on you, girl scouts!
OVERALL: C
I will finish and moderately enjoy this box, sure, but I’ll never buy them again. There are just too many other flavors that actually do what they promise.

Thin Mints are my favorite Girl Scout cookies. I’ve always been a fan of mint, but those cookies are god-tier.
