Well this on is going to be interesting.

I had actually been sitting on these Tarts since the summer of 2025. And there is a reason for that! I’ve done Sugar Cookie Pop-Tarts before. So these were new in that they would be the first time I reviewed 100% Sugar Cookie Pop-Tarts, but not THAT new as I have partially talked about sugar cookie-ish Tarts previously.

So it was that as much as I love Pop-Tarts (“love”), I kind of just let these sit for months because it didn’t feel like 100% new material. I knew I would get to them eventually; I always do. And after a few months, I took this box into my office and figured that would boost my desire to dig into them if I had literally no other breakfast options around me (on my work from home days of the week, I have often ended up eating cereal or peanut butter toast instead).

But today! Today seemed like a great day to finally try these Pop-Tarts, so I came into the office ready to go to town on these. And you know what?

SOMEONE STOLE MY POP-TARTS.

The whole damn box is gone!

And it wasn’t like these were sitting in the kitchen or anything! They were on my desk! In my own office! Clearly delineated as “for me” and not just up for grabs.

To be fair, it’s entirely possible that they were thrown away, though that concept is equally egregious. Or that they evaporated into the ether. I don’t have any proof that they were definitively STOLEN, I suppose. But who would throw away a perfectly good box of unopened Pop-Tarts? Bewildering. Pop-Tarts are great! They are not garbage.

(Unless they are)

So… now what? I don’t actually have any Tarts to eat and review. Damn it, I was really curious as to how well these Tarts would turn out given the unevenness of Sugar Cookie Tarts in the past. The Splitz ones sucked! But previous iterations of wholly Sugar Cookie Tarts were good. So what happens when you remove the chill? How do they taste if you print silly pictures on the Tart?

I’LL NEVER KNOW.

Because these aren’t on sale anymore! I bought them months ago, and they have since been discontinued.

The discontinuing of Pop-Tarts remains the bane of my existence, Kellogg’s.

Guys, I’m still really perplexed by this. Last week, I had Pop-Tarts on my desk. And now? Not so much. I looked in the kitchen to see if someone put them there (why?), but no Tarts were to be found.

And now I have nothing to write about for PTQ. And it’s been a hot minute since any new flavors were released. I even went to Wal-Mart this past week, and there wasn’t anything I haven’t tried before.

(Except they now make PROTEIN Pop-Tarts, but just in the regular old all-the-time flavors, so I can’t imagine there’s anything new to those. Do we… should I do a review of PROTEIN Pop-Tarts since they made them? Let me know in the comments; though I hope by the time this article posts, we have some new flavors)

Oh well. I’ll deal, I guess.
