They peered through the bay doors at the blue horizon and the clouds below. They were high enough that there weren’t any winds but they were still within Earth’s atmosphere. Astra still carried the damaged limb from the Skaleen armor. “First, I’ll probably need a little more mass,” Astra used her nanobots to turn the armored limb in her hands into liquid-metal and absorbed the … Continue reading AP Productions: Astra Machina #3
Wally woke up on his couch with a set of pixelated eyes staring back at him. “Waah!,” he leapt up and screamed as Astra straightened up, mimicking the same scream, “Waah!” “Were you… watching me sleep?,” Wally asked as he pulled the blanket over himself. “Yes,” her voice was honest and without embarrassment. “Why?” “I’ve never seen a human sleep before. I watched Kim too … Continue reading AP Productions: Astra Machina #2
Jennifer Sawyer got out of the back of the car and adjusted her black blazer before walking into her building. She always wore black and usually in the combination of a blazer, turtleneck, pants, and shoes. It was one less thing to worry about and allowed focus of her goals. Her personal bodyguard Hank followed closely behind her and her assistant Mary greeted her at … Continue reading AP Productions: Astra Machina #1
Alysa knew Pete Bone Splitter had been in juvenile detention with Creed and once she began to think about the strange jar in Creed’s office, she surmised Pete might have some information. Learning about Creed’s past with the Skinwalkers might give her insight as to what would happen next. She realized she was likely cursing herself by talking about it but she was willing to … Continue reading AP Productions: Winghaven #12
Creed’s office was in a non-descript two story red brick building. The first floor was the office itself with the front window simply reading “Private Investigator” with the business’ phone number underneath. The second floor contained Creed’s one room apartment. His motorcycle was normally parked in the back lot with a tarp over it alongside his pickup truck. Alysa crossed the street to the small … Continue reading AP Productions: Winghaven #11
Michael once read that the Femme Phantom’s guns were called Purgatory Pistols and wondered if that wasn’t just an “old-timey” description for them from a bygone period. Once he saw her float into the air, releasing bolts of eldritch energy from both barrels, he quickly decided it was a silly name that she likely never gave them because they were far too awesome to have … Continue reading AP Productions: Cavalier #14
For obvious reasons, Michael had never met his great-grandfather. Neither had his father for that matter as Arthur was a baby when Reginald Hawkwood died. Michael’s grandmother told him stories before she passed and he remembered briefly visiting Reginald’s widow in a retirement home when he was very young. It was odd that the first Cavalier was the most mysterious to him. Like his grandfather, … Continue reading AP Productions: Cavalier #13
Michael was only five years old when his grandfather passed away. While he had a few foggy memories, it was hard for him to say he ever really knew him. His father told him plenty of stories, however, of the second Cavalier: Hank Hawkwood. Additionally, he was proud to know his grandfather was a Civil Rights activist in the 60s (one of the few superheroes … Continue reading AP Productions: Cavalier #12
The teenage boy laid on his belly, peering out from under the small bed in the dormitory. The lights were off and he was the only one inside as the other boys in that block were gone. His breath was heavy and his sweaty hands gripped the powdery hammer in his palms tightly, the white ash accumulating on the surface of his fingers. The sun … Continue reading AP Productions: Winghaven #10
“I never knew how much pain you carried with you,” Miles Cady whispered into Ryan’s ear, “Although I was aware of how much misery you caused,” he pointed to the video displaying old wedding footage, “It’s good to know you acknowledge that misery somewhere in your psyche.” Cady took a step back, “You have the tool to end this now,” he indicated the gun still … Continue reading AP Productions: Formerly Known as Brain Boy #6
After the alien invasion of 1981, the world was introduced to Neutronium, which allowed humanity the ability to give itself powers. World governments immediately seized alien technology and this rare element in hopes that it would not fall into enemy hands. Unfortunately, some Neutronium ended up on the black market before various government entities could fully act. In New York, back-alley doctors, mad scientists and … Continue reading AP Productions: Cavalier #11
1946… Reginald Hawkwood leapt into battle with his shield held high. As the Cavalier, he wore a silver knight’s helmet with chainmail and a red tunic covering his torso with brown boots and gloves. The silver shield and helmet provided more than enough protection against the Nazis’ guns once they opened fire, allowing him to rush into the small mob and begin bashing them with … Continue reading AP Productions: Cavalier #10
Five years ago, the Second Phase scientist known as Doc Serenity gazed at the large, ovoid, metallic structure in the center of the abandoned warehouse. The Psychic Bomb was his pièce de résistance: a weapon designed to create a psychic wave within a 50 mile radius that would destroy any living beings with an organic brain while anyone with cybernetic brain implants or digital brains … Continue reading AP Productions: Formerly Known as Brain Boy #5
That night, Michael brought the Dragon in low as it approached the mansion on top of a hill. Michael remarked that it was a nice place but it was unfortunate it was bought through selling drugs to vulnerable people. The lights were on and several cars were parked in the back so he decided he’d have to wait for enough people to leave before sneaking … Continue reading AP Productions: Cavalier #9
Alysa ran to Creed’s side, “Hold on, Creed. I got this.” He remained on the floor, blood pooling around his body as he coughed and choked. “Just… go after Torres,” Creed’s voice was pained but sure, “I can… tell you where he is.” She didn’t even look at him as she went to work, “Tell me after.” She knew a few minor healing spells; they … Continue reading AP Productions: Winghaven #9
