The teenage boy laid on his belly, peering out from under the small bed in the dormitory. The lights were off and he was the only one inside as the other boys in that block were gone. His breath was heavy and his sweaty hands gripped the powdery hammer in his palms tightly, the white ash accumulating on the surface of his fingers. The sun … Continue reading AP Productions: Winghaven #10
FOR PREVIOUS BUFFY REVIEWS, CLICK HERE! It’s ANOTHER two-parter! We just had one of those for episodes 10-11. Oh man, Buffy is getting storyline intensive and moving slightly away from the Monster Of The Week formula. Let’s see where these two go. The episode starts off with a pretty obvious dream sequence from our lead character. Drusilla is creeping behind her in her home. Then … Continue reading My Name Is Judge: A BTVS Retrospective, S2 E13-14
A few months ago, I had heard enough stellar things about RRR that I decided to give it a shot. To say I was floored was an understatement. I may have seen it in January–after all of my Best Of 2022 lists were out–but had I caught RRR in time for those lists, it likely would have topped them. If nothing else, it would have … Continue reading Polite Society Review
Craig from Whit’s The Script and his sexy Scottish brogue is here this episode to talk the introduction of Scott Lang into the MCU: 2015’s Ant-Man!

I saw all of one trailer for the World War II action flick Sisu–it aired right before John Wick Part 4 earlier this year–and then all mention of the movie disappeared from the trace of the Earth. It almost felt like a weird fever dream of an advertisement. And I mean… I go to the movies A LOT. At least weekly for the last few … Continue reading Sisu Review
FOR PREVIOUS BUFFY REVIEWS, CLICK HERE! After that tense two-parter, we handily clean up our unresolved plot threads by seeing Buffy, Xander, and Willow casually alert the audience that the Court Of Terrakion contract has been cancelled for… reasons. They are also making super hip and timely 1997 references to Captain & Tenille… though that MIGHT have been the joke, and I’m not prepared for … Continue reading JOHN RITTER WAS ON THIS SHOW?! A BTVS Retrospective: S2 E11-12
I went into “Marvel the Shell With Shoes On” expecting basically just a long form of his numerous YouTube videos. What I found was a deeply moving, often funny, sometimes tearjerkingly sad, masterpiece of a story. Marcel lives alone with his grandmother after an incident caused the rest of his family and neighbors to vanish one evening. The two share a house and soon find … Continue reading Marcel the Shell With Shoes On (2021)
Christopher Landon has a new movie out on Netflix! It took me a second to place the name when I first heard this, but Christopher Landon is behind some absolutely great flicks. Disturbia. Some of the decent Paranormal Activity movies before the franchise went too far up its own bottom. Freaky. And Happy Death Day! I love Happy Death Day! Once I placed all of … Continue reading We Have A Ghost Review
Sean from The Captioned Life joins the Order intros edition to talk about The Punisher!
No, not Jon Bernthal.
Or Dolph Lundgren.
Or Ray Stevenson.
The OTHER one!

FOR PREVIOUS BUFFY REVIEWS, CLICK HERE! Buffy, Willow, and Xander are at school filling out a test to decide what kind of job they will be best at. Is this a real thing? I see this in fiction a lot, but my school never did this. Also, it’s apparently optional here, as Buffy notes the principal is making her do it. See, man? This guy … Continue reading Sometimes There Are 2-Parters: A BTVS Retrospective, S2 E9-10
Is it possible to be both a one-trick pony and yet also incredibly versatile with your trick? That’s the question I am left with as I have just watched Makoto Shinkai’s newest offering, Suzume. Of his previous works, I’ve seen his two most famous: 2016’s Your Name., and 2019’s Weathering With You. And here’s the truth of the matter: Shinkai loves doing teenage love stories … Continue reading Suzume Review
I was supposed to see three movies in theater this weekend, but it’s going to be just two. Sorry, The Pope’s Exorcist; I had no time for you this weekend. Next weekend! The other two flicks were a lot more must-see than Russell Crowe’s newest attempt at Acting With A Silly Accent. And the first of those two was the new Nicholas Cage vehicle, Renfield! … Continue reading Renfield Review
FOR PREVIOUS BUFFY REVIEWS, CLICK HERE! Episode 7 kicks off with Drusilla out and about on her own. She acts up a typical Drusilla storm of seeming like she is drugged and would rather be doing anything else in the world than be on set as she gets ready to chow down on a kid she finds waiting for his parents. Angel intervenes to save … Continue reading Spike Is A Clown: A BTVS Retrospective: S2 E7-8
A Conan who doesn’t tell you what is best in life? We’re not too sure about this one…
But either way, Matt from Panel 2 Panel joins the Order this episode to see how Jason Mamoa’s turn as the legendary warrior holds up!

I finally got Apple TV Plus. And by “got” it, I mean I realized my new television comes with a free three month trial, so depending on how infatuated my wife gets with shows like Ted Lasso, Severance, and Servant, I may have it for three months, or I may have it indefinitely. But me? I’m here for the movies, as always. TV shows are … Continue reading Tetris Review
