This was something that was suggested to me back when I did my Top Ten Pokemon of each [of the first six] generation[s]. (I like brackets) I was makin decisions on which Pokemon I loved from those Gens; why not go through and find the ones I had no particular affection for? There are so many Pokemon to LOVE; aren’t there an equal amount to … Continue reading The Bottom 5: Worst Generation 1 Pokemon
Netflix released a live action version of Death Note not too long ago. It was… not ideal. It was one of those “Any resemblance to the actual source material is purely coincidental” situations, and while I know they had to change a fair amount to turn a manga of several volumes into a two-hour-or-so movie… man. They changed characters’ entire beings. It’s just real bad. If you … Continue reading Stew’s Reviews: Death Note

It has been a long time since I was as excited to see a movie–a NON-comic-book-movie, I should clarify–as I was to see Everything Everywhere All At Once. And honestly? I really shouldn’t have been, based just upon history. EEAAO was released by A24, and that is a studio I’ve been all over the map on with my feelings, but the only thing I’ve truly … Continue reading Everything Everywhere All At Once Review
There’s no level of talking down enough that I can do to lower your expectations far enough that when you see my list, you will think, “Well, it’s not THAT bad”. It’s going to be very, very bad. There’s no disagreement. We are in this together! Here is where I have to be honest with you: I am neither a liar nor a panderer. When … Continue reading Top Ten: Academy Award Best Picture Winners
TITLE: Moon Knight: From The Dead Writer and Artist: Warren Ellis and Declan Shalvey Publisher: Marvel Protagonists: Moon Knight Antagonists: Black Spectre Never let it be said I am not a man of the people, because this actually came in as a request! Back in volume 22 where I reviewed Mystique, 411mania.com (where I cross-post these articles) user Adam specifically requested a review of this book. … Continue reading Stew’s Reviews: Moon Knight
I wrote this list before Phase 4 of the MCU started because I was saving it for when I set up my new site schedule in April 2022. But I wanted to get a headstart, so I was making and starting lists several months ago. That was dumb! I had to edit it TWICE throughout Phase 4 to kick two movies off the bottom and … Continue reading Top Ten: Movies in the MCU
Well I certainly hope Night Two lives up to what Night One gave us! I was a fan of what WWE put together on Saturday, and now I’m expecting more quality. You’ve raised expectations, Vince & Crew! Before we get into the show, I wanted to do a little self-indulgent celebrating. Saturday was not only the first of two days of WrestleMania; it was also … Continue reading WrestleMania 38 Night Two Review
I did not get a chance to review NXT Stand & Deliver this year because the timing of the day just wasn’t great for me. But I did get to watch it, so indulge me in giving some quick thoughts on that before we get into WrestleMania [38] Saturday: It’s really fun to know that even in the 2.0 era where NXT is a lot … Continue reading WrestleMania 38 Night One Review

This was finally a big month for new releases on my part. Prior to March, I think I’d only seen two movies actually released IN 2022. I know I follow some other folks that had already been up to thirty new releases this year, and… wow. I have no idea where they are finding things to watch. Very little has caught me eye so far … Continue reading 2022 Movie Log: March
Guess who’s back. Back again! Pop-Tart Quest is back! Tell a friend. Pop-Tart’s back, Pop-Tart’s back, Pop-Tart’s back, Pop-Tart’s back do do do do do! This is… Pop-Tart Quest! What are you doing with your life, Kellogg’s? It’s been months since the last edition of the #PTQ, and that hasn’t been because I don’t care about my loyal PTCuties; it’s because they haven’t been releasing … Continue reading Pop-Tart Quest: Fruit Loops
Of all of Cyberforce, Heatwave was easily the most generic and plain. Hell, he’s virtually indistinguishable from Spartan over on WildC.A.T.s – he’s a Stoic Leader Guy made of technology with a Hair-Showing Mask and Blasts! With a jacket over metal, that damn mask, and his blasty ways, he was as “Captain ’90s” as possible, if not for the fact that three or four members of his … Continue reading Jab’s Image Deep Dive: CyberForce continued!
I am currently surrounded by a bunch of Pop Vinyl characters all just sitting on my floor in disarray while I try to figure out where to put them. I don’t really have any satisfactory kind of display place for them, so they are just kind of scattered around. They deserve better than that, but it’s what I do with my collector mentality. I went … Continue reading Stew’s Reviews: Winter World
