NOTE: THIS ARTICLE MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR RRR, A 10 MONTH OLD MOVIE! It’s January 19th. I’ve just watched the best movie I’m going to see in 2023. I don’t know if this makes me happy or sad. It’s a shame I didn’t watch RRR last year proper when it came out. It would have pushed basically EVERYTHING back one spot on my Top 30 … Continue reading RRR
This is definitely my top ten movies of 2022. I say that because last time there was some consternation about one of my picks in my #20-11 range. Someone was displeased I included Werewolf By Night. It seems enough like a movie to me, but maybe not to others. So you could argue my last “ten” only had nine “movies”. So I put it up … Continue reading Top Thirty 2022 New Release Movies, #10-1

How do percents work again? What is ten out of fifty? Let’s see… that would be 20 out of 100. So 20%! Let’s get into the next twenty percents’ worth of my favorite movies I watched for the very first time ever in 2022! Since there are two lists left, that means we are in the… (twenty times two…) top fortieth percentile here! Fun with … Continue reading The Top 50 First Time Watches of 2022, #20-11
CHAPTER FIVE: Five Years Ago… “Man, I am really sorry about earlier. I didn’t really know you were talking to Butterfly like that. I thought there wasn’t nothing there! Anyway, I was out of line asking her to The Date Spot.” “Naw, man. We’re all here for the cash, man. You gotta do what you think can help us win. It’s cool. It’s cool.” With … Continue reading The Chosen, Chapter 5

It’s part two of Stew’s look back at the 72 new release movies he saw in 2022. Look, I didn’t want to take up your whole life and rank all SEVENTY-TWO of them, but I did want to shout out the ones I can unquestionably recommend. So I decided to do this Top 30 list! We reviewed #30-21 last time. Now we are onto the … Continue reading Top Thirty New Release Movies Of 2022, #20-11

Much was made from January through November of my quest to watch 300+ movies in the calendar year. As I write this, it’s December 23rd, and I’ve seen 317 individual movies across the year, easily smashing the target I set for myself, so much so that I could take December “off” more-or-less and focus on my writing and getting stuff scheduled and ready at SWO … Continue reading Top Thirty New Release Movies of 2022, #30-21
Me, about six hours ago: Well, I want to do more full movie reviews in 2023, so I’m going to see that snazzy looking new horror flick M3GAN, and afterwards, I’ll be able to write a review on it. Also me, as I walked out of M3GAN an hour ago: I have no fucking idea what I’m going to say about this movie because I … Continue reading M3GAN: Kind Of A Review?

Pop-Tarts keeps using words I don’t know. Like Cobbler. Now Fritter. What is that? It makes me think of a… small rodent. Is this the flavor of a small rodent that just ate an apple? Is that what I want from my breakfast? What is that picture on the box next to the name? It looks like something somebody stepped on. Is that the small … Continue reading Pop-Tart Quest: Apple Fritter
I tend to spend this little opening blurb segment talking a lot about me. What’s been going on, what else I have been reading, sometimes meandering nonsense about my cats. Whatever. You probably rightfully skip it. You know what we don’t do here often enough? Talk about you. So… how are you? Let me know down in the comments! What are you reading these days? … Continue reading Stew’s Reviews: Daredevil – Love & War
