FOR PREVIOUS BUFFY REVIEWS, CLICK HERE! Episode 7 kicks off with Drusilla out and about on her own. She acts up a typical Drusilla storm of seeming like she is drugged and would rather be doing anything else in the world than be on set as she gets ready to chow down on a kid she finds waiting for his parents. Angel intervenes to save … Continue reading Spike Is A Clown: A BTVS Retrospective: S2 E7-8
1946… Reginald Hawkwood leapt into battle with his shield held high. As the Cavalier, he wore a silver knight’s helmet with chainmail and a red tunic covering his torso with brown boots and gloves. The silver shield and helmet provided more than enough protection against the Nazis’ guns once they opened fire, allowing him to rush into the small mob and begin bashing them with … Continue reading AP Productions: Cavalier #10

I finally got Apple TV Plus. And by “got” it, I mean I realized my new television comes with a free three month trial, so depending on how infatuated my wife gets with shows like Ted Lasso, Severance, and Servant, I may have it for three months, or I may have it indefinitely. But me? I’m here for the movies, as always. TV shows are … Continue reading Tetris Review
It’s been a while since I have done a non-Big 2 book that wasn’t a manga, so I guess I better do that, or else I’ll fall back into my unfairly established reputation of hating indie books. I guess Fables doesn’t TECHNICALLY count because it is a DC property (but it should; it’s essentially an independent book that just happened to be published by one … Continue reading Stew’s Reviews: The Fix
FOR PREVIOUS BUFFY REVIEWS, CLICK HERE! After having episodes 3 (great!) and 4 (terrible!) back to back, I have no idea what to expect from this show anymore. These two episodes could have quality levels of virtually anything, and I’d be like “Yeah, that makes sense, sure”. I’m very curious as to where we go in this pair. The second season’s fifth episode kicks off … Continue reading Oh no, Xander Sucks Again: A BtVS Retrospective: S2 Episodes 5-6
Minutes before, the James Buchanan High cafeteria had been empty, except for the usual arrangement of tables and the half-dozen seniors who made it to school on a day no one else seemed to have been able. Then the six of them had left the cafeteria. They filed out into the entryway and were shocked to see some kind of beast-man with an axe standing … Continue reading The Chosen, chapter 6
That’s right- it’s time for the “filler” 1980s toon characters, plus LORD DREGG- the final villain in the season nobody watched! TEMPESTRA -A peculiar character, Tempestra is actually an in-universe Video Game Boss brought to life. In her debut, LEONARDO of all people gets caught up in desperately trying to beat a video game at the local arcade (any other adaptation would use any one … Continue reading Jab’s Reviews: TMNT (Tempestra, Shogun Shoate & Lord Dregg)
NOTE: SPOILERS WITHIN FOR DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: HONOR AMONG THIEVES Oh man, I miss actual Dungeons & Dragons. It’s been a long time since I have played D&D. I’ve had a few opportunities in the last few years to get back into it, but I just don’t have the time these days. And the people I would be most able to play with are folks … Continue reading Dungeons & Dragons Review
WrestleMania 39 Night One is in the books, and it was pretty damn good overall. It had some low points (the six-woman tag, Cena/Theory, the time killing McAfee/Miz impromptu match), but those were more than measured out by the highs. So keeping the positivity in mind, here are my Top Five Favorite Things About WrestleMania 39 Night One: The emotional ride of the main event, … Continue reading WrestleMania 39 Night 2 Review
It’s so weird to me that Taylor Swift is far and away the most popular musical act in North America. I mean, she’s fine. She’s FINE. She has some songs I like well enough, and she has a ton of songs that I heard, thought nothing of, and then went on with my life. But she infamously has her tour going on where tickets to … Continue reading WrestleMania 39 Night One Review

FOR PREVIOUS BUFFY REVIEWS, CLICK HERE! We start off in school, and GOD I can’t wait for these kids to graduate and get out of this setting already. Principal Snyder is here with Buffy and another heretofore unseen student named Sheila. According to Snyder, these two are the worst students in SunnyDale… and he is going to expel one of them. So he does what … Continue reading A Promise of Railroad Spikes: A BTVS Retrospective, S2 E3-4
My Sailor Moon Story:-Bold statement: Nobody has ever loved anything as teenaged Jab loved Sailor Moon. I LOVED this show when I was in High School. In a time when it was massively uncool for a boy to watch a “show for girls”, I was like openly talking about this to several of my male friends at the time. I remember seeing snippets of it at … Continue reading Jab’s Reviews: Sailor Moon (The Entire Anime Series) Part 2
Five years ago, the Second Phase scientist known as Doc Serenity gazed at the large, ovoid, metallic structure in the center of the abandoned warehouse. The Psychic Bomb was his pièce de résistance: a weapon designed to create a psychic wave within a 50 mile radius that would destroy any living beings with an organic brain while anyone with cybernetic brain implants or digital brains … Continue reading AP Productions: Formerly Known as Brain Boy #5
