When Disney+ announced they would have MCU series on their platform, they did so by revealing the first three shows: Wandavision, Falcon & Winter Soldier, and Loki. They released a teaser shortly after that. If you notice, the only thing they had for Loki was a logo and a short clip with him looking into the camera and saying “I’m gonna burn this place to … Continue reading MCU Disney+ Year In Review – Loki
Last year, Disney+ released the first crop of MCU shows on its site and the initial plan was that Falcon and Winter Soldier would be first. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this show had to stop filming, so in January of 2021, Wandavision was released instead. Falcon and the Winter Soldier would subsequently drop in September. While Wandavision was far removed from your typical superhero … Continue reading MCU Disney+ Year In Review – Falcon & Winter Soldier
It’s a new year and we can all agree 2021 pretty much sucked. Know what else sucked? 2020. The sucktitude of these two years was mostly due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic that has affected health, business, and even entertainment. As you are all aware, the pandemic hit early in 2020, which resulted in no new MCU properties being released that year. MCU movies were … Continue reading MCU Disney+ Year In Review – Wandavision
ROCKSTEADY & BEBOP:-Among the most iconic “Idiotic Henchmen” in TV history, Rocksteady & Bebop started life as a pair of goons in a vicious street gang that were sent to assault reporter April O’Neil, who was investigating the Foot Clan’s activities. A stocky blonde guy with short hair, and a skinny black punker (I hate punkers) with a purple mohawk, they were the only named … Continue reading Jab’s Reviews: TMNT (Rocksteady & Bebop)
Back for more Sailor Moon reviews! SuperS finally shook things up a bit, as the Amazon Trio sacrificed themselves and were rewarded with human bodies (and being written out of the series)! The Amazoness Quartet- a band of underage nudists- are our new “Generals!” And we’ve finally been introduced to the tall, freaky, glamorous Queen Nehalennia! And now we finally start getting to see new … Continue reading Jab’s Reviews: Sailor Moon SuperS (151-152)
Casey: “What is all this talk o’ spendin’ the night down here?”Donatello: “*chuckles* You’re a claustrophobic!”Casey: “*stunned*… You want a FIST in the mouth?… I never even LOOKED at another guy before!”-Donatello and Casey, who has somehow conflated claustrophic with homophobic, and homophobic with HOMOSEXUAL. TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: The Movie The TMNT Movie was pretty much a hallmark of my youth- I was way … Continue reading Jab’s Reviews: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (The Movie)
SuperPatriot- Most Prominent Dragon Ally?:Among the most prominent of Savage Dragon’s supporting cast is SuperPatriot, a masked cyborg superhero who dates back to World War II in that setting. His origin story is that he was a WWII soldier captured by the Germans, who used him as a guinea pig for evil scientific experiements- these ended up giving him super-powers. Escaping, he destroyed the base … Continue reading Jab’s Image Deep Dive: Freak Force, Part 2
I am a picky eater. That alone will cause some consternation with folks. People hate picky eaters like we’re some kind of blight on society. For transparency’s sake: I’ll try almost anything new that I have not eaten before. I don’t have a problem with trying foods, and I eat a lot more than just, like, chicken tenders or whatever everyone thinks picky eaters eat. … Continue reading Stew’s Reviews: Chew

A GOOFY MOVIE (1995): Written by: Jymn Magon, Chris Matheson & Biran Pimental The movie’s two showstoppers, “Stand Out” and “I2I” one after the other. Nothing in history is more “1990s” than this. Of all the shows on the much-fabled “Disney Afternoon” Saturday Cartoon block, the one I would consider LEAST LIKELY to have gotten a theatrically-released Full-Length Feature would have been Goof Troop. I dunno if … Continue reading Jab’s Disney Reviews: A Goofy Movie
Donnie, like I’ve said before, was my favorite Turtle- he wears purple and has the coolest weapon! I mean, if he wasn’t the best, then why would he be wearing purple? PLUS he’s the best guy to play in the video games! DONATELLO:-In every continuity, Donatello is the “Smart Guy”, meaning his brilliance can shift depending on the basic nature of that universe. The more … Continue reading Jab’s Reviews: The Ninja Turtles (Donatello & Michelangelo)
When you watch a movie, is the acting more important than the script? It’s weird how that is never really a consideration, right? Like nobody ever postulates “Would you rather watch a movie with Oscar caliber performances of a bad story? Or wooden, unfeeling actors portraying a brilliant story concept?” And yet, it’s something comic fans have always debated. If you had two books to … Continue reading Top Ten: Favorite Comic Writers
As I write this, my cat is chewing on the HDMI cable to the television. I mean… I don’t LET him. I stomp and yell at him, and he stops for a second and looks at me, but he just goes right back to it once I stop glaring at him. It’s a really weird behavior, as he is almost three years old, I had … Continue reading Stew’s Reviews: X-23 – Chaos Theory
Welcome back to more Sailor Moon reviews! So our three hapless horn-dog villains are still chasing after whichever Dream Mirror has Pegasus in it, but now… THINGS finally start to happen! Yeah, so Naoko Takeuchi probably added more information in the manga, so the poor writers finally had more stuff to go on and didn’t need so much filler. And so in this set of … Continue reading Jab’s Reviews: Sailor Moon SuperS (148-150)
THIS IS… POP-TART QUEST! UH, THAT IS ALL THIS WEEK. Fruit pies are the worst kind of pies. There are probably people out there that prefer fruit-based pies to, say, cream-centric pies, but I pity them as human beings, I feel sorry for their descendants, and they can not eat lunch at my table. They make questionable choices, and I worry about what effect their … Continue reading Pop-Tart Quest: Frosted Crisp Apple
