KRANG:-Krang is a modification of the Utrom race, and appears in a few later renditions of the canon- mostly those inspired by the Turtles at their most popular. Krang is one of the two Big Bads of the 1987 animated series, and he appears in the concurrent Archie Comics in a similar role. He is quickly exiled to Morbus, the prison world, forming a bad … Continue reading Jab’s Reviews: TMNT (Krang)
A bit predictable, but maybe that’s from seeing a lot of Anime in my life. Beautifully (and frightfully) animated from top notch studio Project I. G. (They do most of the Ghost in the Shell stuff), “Housing Complex C” tells the tale of an apartment complex where several seniors and a few families reside. There’s a girl named Kimi, who lives with her mother. All … Continue reading Housing Complex C (from Adult Swim)
“Nothing excites me more than watching fellow Guardians, sworn to protect their planet, kill each other. Countless planets have succumbed to my power, and each time, their Guardians have brought about their own doom by betraying one another. Friendship is but an illusion.” Well hell. Here we are- several years ago, on another website, I started posting these (most of which I’d done beforehand), but … Continue reading Jab’s Reviews: Sailor Stars (Episodes #199-200- THE LAST REVIEW!)
Much was made from January through November of my quest to watch 300+ movies in the calendar year. As I write this, it’s December 23rd, and I’ve seen 317 individual movies across the year, easily smashing the target I set for myself, so much so that I could take December “off” more-or-less and focus on my writing and getting stuff scheduled and ready at SWO … Continue reading The Top 50 First Time Watches of 2022: #50-41

oh, INTERNET… — A loner. A lizard. A skatemaster. Mutated from a head-banging, thrash-metal, teenage guitarist, Mondo Gecko is the coolest lizard to surf the concrete jungle. Known to his cold-blooded boardin’ brethren as “The Mon,” Mondo Gecko likes to skate the sewers and grease the grind. This maximum maniac grooves on shining the curbside and puts fun and freedom ahead of everything else. He’s … Continue reading Jab’s Reviews: TMNT (Mondo Gecko & Wingnut)
Brain Boy Brain Boy Totally rad-i-cal Brain Boy It’s fight’n crime then pizza time It’s Brain Booooooooy! The drunk frat boys at the bar sang the song with the passion and the sincerity of an operatic choir but far more obnoxiously and very-much off key. Ryan Bennings was unamused and didn’t feel like being polite enough to even give a thankful smile but at the … Continue reading AP Productions: Formerly Known as Brain Boy #1
Pop-Tarts keeps using words I don’t know. Like Cobbler. Now Fritter. What is that? It makes me think of a… small rodent. Is this the flavor of a small rodent that just ate an apple? Is that what I want from my breakfast? What is that picture on the box next to the name? It looks like something somebody stepped on. Is that the small … Continue reading Pop-Tart Quest: Apple Fritter
I tend to spend this little opening blurb segment talking a lot about me. What’s been going on, what else I have been reading, sometimes meandering nonsense about my cats. Whatever. You probably rightfully skip it. You know what we don’t do here often enough? Talk about you. So… how are you? Let me know down in the comments! What are you reading these days? … Continue reading Stew’s Reviews: Daredevil – Love & War
It’s time for my second-last recap of Sailor Moon! Last episode was a big one: EVERYONE DIED! Well okay, the entire Inner Senshi- Sailor Mars, Sailor Mercury, Sailor Jupiter & Sailor Venus- all perished saving the Sailor Starlights from Galaxia’s destructive attack- their Star Seeds were taken out (fatal to any Sailor), and they faded away, Mars doing so in a crying Usagi’s arms, teasing … Continue reading Jab’s Reviews: Sailor Star (Episodes #197-198)
And we are back! For the last time! Wow, this took some work to get here, but let’s finish the list. Reminder: This is based on a list Wizard Magazine published in 2006 ranking their top 100 single issue comic stories of the previous 27 years or so (1979-2006). I’ve gone from 100 to 6 (you can see the list history [LISTORY!] by clicking the … Continue reading The Top 100 Comics Of A Lifetime, #5-1

NOTE: This review will contain spoilers for Clerks III! I was surprised when I had started hearing good things about the third installment in Kevin Smith’s Clerks franchise. I know Clerks II is somewhat divisive, and I don’t personally recall having cared at all for it (though it has been years since I watched it). I heard such abhorrent things about The Jay & Silent … Continue reading Clerks 3 Review

Michael and Arthur made their way through the tunnel, leaving behind the Dragon docked in the small hangar. Minutes later, Springheel-Jack emerged from under the craft. Typically, Arthur would often do a maintenance check on the craft after landing but since the mission was a minor one and they were returning later than expected, he opted not to check that night. As for Jack, he … Continue reading AP Productions: Cavalier #6
